PARTY LEADERSHIP:
Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia (February 1991 - July 1993). In the 1993 elections, the PC won 9 seats (loss of 19 seats) and were reduced to Official Opoosition status. Resigned as Leader immediately after the 1993 elections.

Candidate for Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia, February 1991. First ballot: 1st place (out of four candidates) with 754 votes - 32.1%. Second ballot: 1st place with 801 votes (34.3%). Third ballot: Cameron was elected leader over Rollie Thornhill by a vote of 1,201 (53.2%) to 1,058 (46.8%).
